You are surrounded by impurities every day. Unless you live in a bubble, it’s impossible to escape them. The good news is you can minimize the damaging effects on your health and waistline by allowing for a whole body cleanse in your lifestyle.

Healthy eating requires you to eat a number of nutrients every day. In fact, there are 40 different nutrients you need to ingest in order to keep your body healthy. That’s a lot of nutrients you need to know about! Luckily, you can break down all of these nutrients into smaller categories in order to keep them organized in your mind and make sure you get all of the foods you need.

First and foremost, everyone needs water in order to live a healthy life. Without water, we become dehydrated, and eventually die. You lose water when you sweat and through daily bodily functions, so water must be replenished. Drinking about 8 glasses a day is recommended. Of course, water is found in food as well as in drinks, so you can get your 8 glasses there.

Of course, we need much more than water every day to survive. Another group of nutrients we can’t do without is proteins. Proteins are found in foods such as meat, eggs, and soy products. They provide the amino acids needed to build muscle tissue as well as help make some of the hormones in our bodies. Red blood cells and hair is also made from protein.

Along with proteins, a body also needs adequate amounts of fats and carbohydrates in order for us to have enough energy during the day. Fats are primarily used for energy during intense activity, like exercising, while carbohydrates are primarily used for energy during less intense activities, like standing, sitting, and other movements. Both the fats and the carbohydrates that we eat in a day can be stored for later use as fat, so it is important to eat enough for energy, but also important to regulate intake in order to stay slim and healthy. In the event that you are not eating enough fats and carbohydrates, your body can also provide itself with fuel from proteins.

Vitamins and minerals are also important nutrients for our daily lives. We get these from fruits, vegetables, milk, and most natural sources of food. Some of our foods, such as bread products, can even be enriched so that we get more vitamins and minerals in our bodies. There are dozens that you need to ingest regularly, such as iron, thiamine, vitamin C, and vitamin D. If you are eating a healthy diet, you can most likely get enough vitamins and minerals from your foods, but you can also take vitamin supplements to make sure that you are getting the right amounts you need to maintain body function. Supplements may also be available to help with other nutrients as well, so if you are worried, talk to your doctor about how you can be sure to be eating a healthy amount of nutrients.

Now the above are the basics for good health, but nowadays we have the added problem of being exposed to pollutants every day and our bodies are working overtime to remove these impurities. No one is exempt from these impurities that we face daily. Even if you are at your ideal weight or in great physical shape, adding daily and deep cleansing supports the natural process mentioned before. It further encourages the removal of the potentially harmful impurities using gentle botanicals and nutrients to nourish and revitalize your body.

The added bonus if you need to reduce your weight, is that cleansing helps remove the impurities from your body. In turn, the fat and water your body stored as a protection mechanism against these impurities may be eliminated. A daily body cleansing detox may further support your weight-loss goals because you are effectively lowering your intake of calories and giving your body the time it needs to rest and rejuvenate.

Some very good advice here on the basics of good nutrition in some ways it ties in with my post for the Challenge- Jamie Oliver Food Revolution.
Both of our posts are aimed at raising the profile of good nutrition. The body cleansing detox is also great way to support the health of our bodies. How do we raise the profile for health and fitness in our communities? Thank you.

  5. Hi Anne,

Not being ‘into’ food and nutrition (other than enjoying a good home cooked meal), I have to say I’m fascinated by all the coverage it’s getting these days with programs like Jamie Olivers on the TV.

That said – I do sometimes wonder if anything is actually good for us?
As so many seem to have negatives to say about everything!

It tends to make me feel old when I start wishing things could return to times gone by when there were no fertilizers and pesticides used and everything was completely natural!

Have to agree on the pesticide stuff and food – even ‘organic’ is hard to source. We grow a lot of our own now, the bugs have their bit but we have the rest which is nice and fresh.
Also the other reason I love Isagenix – great for good health as it gets the body eliminating all those nasties.

  15. Very interesting post Anne. 8) I try and detox my liver 3 days a week by drinking no alcohol, but I wouldn’t attempt it with food.

I run every day and notice the difference if I haven’t eaten enough complex carbohydrates. Unknown to me my girlfriend was cutting down on carbohydrates to lose weight, she nearly collapsed during a 12 mile run, and is now back eating pasta again. ;-)

It’s a pleasure to read a blog concerned with nutrition and healthy living. Keep up the good work Anne. :-)

The key to health as in everything is balance, my motto is I exercise so I can eat.

I try and remove as much empty food from my diet as possible and concentrate on the big bang foods like real meat and fresh vegetables. If you are not sure what real meat is, next time you buy a chicken breast, ask yourself why is it necessary to add sugar to it?

Know what you eat, without becoming obsessive and enjoy your life.

  40. Total body detox cleanse is the perfect way for ultimately boosting your body with lots of energy, reducing muscle fatigue and stress. It is recommended to let your body detoxify the toxins from the liver once every 4-6 months. Depending on what kind of body detox program you use, it usually takes 10 or more days for the cleansing. During these cleansing process, try to avoid bad diets such as fattening foods, unhealthy carbs and sodas, sugar from sweets and candies.

I have good intentions about eating a healthy diet but I never stick with it, I always end up eating too much junk although I very rarely eat chocolate these days which is good as I used to be quite a chocoholic.

Have you ever read The Zone. It’s good for balance and quantities according to your activity level. I have done liver flushes according to Dr. Hulda Clark’s recipe which I think is on Curezone.com. Nice to know those stones are gone for good. If you do it yearly or so you can keep up with the new ones. Dr. Clark teaches pollutants and parasites are the leading causes of bad health. Pre-flood, we had double the pressure and 50% more oxygen. We inhale oxygen in our bodies up to one additional atmosphere. Then the absorption tapers off quickly. With that much more oxygen, we lived to be 600, 700, 800 and 900 years instead of 60, 70, 80 and 90 years. Dr Carl Baugh did some experiments with a hyperbaric chamber and different critters with amazing results.
    Thanks for the post.

  67. Hi Anne,

Very interesting article on detoxing and the vitamins and food s important for our bodies.

Boy do I need to drink more water. Not only is it helpful for our insides to process everything it is also important for our skin.

I know most people say the 8 glasses a day rule however I find that hard to digest as I think it would be different per person.

I once heard that if we drink water until our pee is clear unless we have taken any known vitamin B to discolour it. I think it was Dr Oz on Oprah who said it.

I did that and found I need around 5 glasses for me. I am fairly little in size so 8 glasses would bloat me big time!

I hope everything has gone well for you with the challenge so far. Fingers crossed everyone gets around to everyone’s blogs!

I have tallied the comments on both your blogs.

See you back for the final tally,

Never really tried a full nutritional cleansing before, though had been on a diet plan for like 4-5 months now with a more veg, less starch (for lack of a better word, what I mean here is rice, noodles, white bread diet, crumbs on fried foods) . Didn’t loose much weight as I hope but my body condition did gets better (More Energy).

I will have to look into what you wrote here and see how I can apply.

    Thanks

  70. Hi Anne,

I am terribly unhealthy and working online does not help me either.

Slouched in front of a pc for hours, drinking fizzy drinks, chain smoking and eating junk food for quickness!

I have taken note of your article and I am going to try and improve on my un healthy lifestyle, starting by drinking water instead of fizz drinks.

Thanks so much for this article, hopefully I will remember it and make the changes I need to.

I have not tried detox yet on my body, but I think that’s something that should be happening soon. Health should be one of the things I’m going to focus on … but I say that every year. Only this time, I have the resources which will help me. Thanks for sharing this information. I’m bookmarking it to read up on again.

  73. Hi,
I’ve always loved the idea of cleansing the body of toxins especially in our current polluted climate. There are so many pollutants in the air that I find that one missed day of my vitamins and I start to feel a bit tired. I am curious about what you use for your cleansing and does it work for you. I drink a lot of water in the summer for hydration and cleansing… it is tougher in the cold weather so i drink organic teas.
    Thank you!

I personally use a combination of a shake (for my weight loss)and add to this 2 other Isagenix products which help the adrenal gland function properly to get rid of the toxins. Just do this once a day.
The weight is coming off and I just feel so good. You can of course do full cleansing for quicker results.

I think people get a little scared off when they see ‘cleansing’ as they probably envisage having nothing but fluids for days on end which is certainly not the case. The cleansing for me is losing weight and getting rid of all the toxins that invade us daily so I use a combination of products on a daily basis. Everyone is different and need different things so just a matter of working out what is best for you. As you say it is certainly worth it to just try.

The products are all natural so there are no side effects. You can also do as I do and use a combination of products once a day, eating normally at other times – I feel great so something must be working OK :) – definitely no headaches and it improves your immune system by getting rid of all the toxins we take in daily.

Great article on an all important topic. So difficult to slip into bad habits and eat rubbish and drink excessive amounts of fizzy/sugar loaded drinks especially in this all too busy lifestyle that most of us now seem to lead. I dont think you can underestimate the power of a detox and some “cleaner living” as it energises both body & mind.

  115. Detox Body in 7 Days with Internal Cleansers

Awareness is one key factor to be able to stay away from illnesses and diseases. With today’s medical costs soaring high, it is quite expensive to get sick. And for this reason, many people now are looking for ways to stay healthy. But the more important consideration is whether they are ready to make certain changes in their lives or not.

Staying healthy means that you should eat the right kinds of food at the right amount, avoiding harmful vices like smoking and excessive alcohol drinking, and most importantly, changing your life to the fullest. If you think you can keep up with all of these things, then you’re sure to live a healthy and illness-free lifestyle.

Your body is susceptible to many illnesses and diseases probably because of the things (like food and certain beverages) that you take in. Even the environment that you live in can affect the level of toxins inside the body. When the toxins are too much for the body’s natural detox process, the toxins build up. This build up can have certain harmful effects to the body which might cause a person to get sick.

The detox diet is very much popular nowadays, and the diet includes the use of different herbs and supplements. Other persons follow a certain diet which aids the body’s detox process. These foods help in the excretion of toxins through your skin, lungs, liver, intestines, and kidneys. The lymphatic system of the body also helps in eliminating toxins in the body.

But before starting any detox diet or program, it is best to consult first your doctor; just to be safe and for you to obtain a correct assessment of your present health condition.

There is also toxicity symptoms which you might be able to observe if you already have excessive toxin build up. And once you start to detox your body, these symptoms will usually get worse. But after a few more days, they will eventually pass. It is a good sign because the toxins inside your body are eliminated in big quantities.

If you’re still looking for an effective way to get rid of toxins in your body, why not try the detox body cleanser. It cleanses the internal parts of your body in just seven days. Yes, you’ve heard it right, seven days.

You can make use of this detox program for seven days, and eliminate those unwanted body toxins. The detox body cleanser usually comes in caplet forms, as well as in fiber packets. It consists of natural fiber and herbs. After seven days, you will feel detoxified, energized, and revitalized. There are even consumers who claim that they feel the great effects even on the first day.

Detox body cleansers are reasonably priced; in fact, you can get one at no more than $12. Price is not a very important consideration especially if you want to achieve healthy visible results.

Detox body cleansers are convenient to use, though it is made from herbs, these cleansers are usually great tasting which works naturally with the body’s digestion. The entire formula is geared towards complete internal body cleansing.

Detox body cleansers are not hard to find. You can find them in leading drugstores, and even in online stores. Cleanse your internal body for only seven days, try it now.

  133. It is a fact that we do indeed come into contact nearly every day with harmful substances. They range from dyes, heavy metals to pesticides and more. A lot of these compounds we can breathe in, or just touch and it will go into our bodies. Many things are like that. Such as the heavy metals mercury, lead and cadmium. But poisons can be touched or even breathed in like pesticides, sprays like paint and solvents and smog. Which is just a variety of pollutants. It has even been said that inside your house or apartment could be much more toxic than outside. If these products work then great, but its good to be thinking about staying clean of toxic pollution of all types. Good Post.

The latest medical studies have at this point connected Vitamin D to more than 200 human genes, particularly all those linked to cancer and autoimmune disorders for instance multiple sclerosis. And again, experts are recommending health supplements. The cause for vitamin D deficiency, which is right now considered to be experienced by an estimated one billion people across the world, is the primary result of men and women spending an increasing number of time inside. Most of us work and watch more TELEVISION without taking a moment to go outdoors. My partner and I went about a research recently to find the particular most effective Vitamin D supplement. I started off learning about the particular advantages of Vitamin D only more than a year ago, after my new health care provider advised I take a Vitamin D supplement. That research resulted in a great number of rewards of Vitamin D, with new ones being identified on a regular basis.

  135. What is exactly that is cleansed from the system when you use an Isagenix nutritional cleansing product? In a simple word, it is toxins that are cleansed from the system? Basically, these toxins (sometimes dubbed “free radicals”) enter into the body in a number of ways. Some toxins are airborne and we end up ingesting them when we breathe. Then, there are a number of toxins that enter into our system due to the food we eat. Sadly, processed foods come with many toxins that do not exactly help the body one iota. In fact, they can lead to a number of serious and adverse health issues.
